Łukasz coaching an incline dumbbell press during a one-to-one session at Atypical Trainer, Slough

WHAT AN HOUR WITH ŁUKASZ LOOKS LIKE

You arrive, we talk for two minutes about how the week's been, and then we work. A short, specific warm-up for the joints you're about to load. Forty to forty-five minutes of the main block — usually four to six lifts built around squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling and carrying, with Łukasz on your technique for every set. Then a cool-down and a look at the log to see what moved.

Nothing is random. The weights, sets and reps are decided before you walk in and adjusted while you're there. Every four weeks the programme is rewritten so your body keeps having a reason to change.

WHO IT SUITS

People who want the fastest route and prefer not to share the coach's attention. In practice that's a mix: first-timers who want someone to hold their hand through the early weeks, people coming back after injury or a long break who need it done safely, regular gym-goers who've stalled and can't work out why, and anyone with a hard deadline — a wedding, a holiday, a 10k, a medical you want to pass.

Trading Estate workers can grab early or lunchtime slots without eating into personal time.
